This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use devakrut.com, buy from us or send us an enquiry. It says what we do with that data, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Who we are

DEVAKRUT NATURE OILS LLP decides why and how your personal data is used. Under Indian law, that makes us the "Data Fiduciary".

  • Registered office: 07/15, Kadri Mansion, Veer Savarkar Marg, Prabhadevi, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400025
  • E-mail: [email protected]
  • Phone: +91 95796 11239

Questions about your personal data are answered by our Grievance Officer, Devendra Nagotanekar, at the same e-mail address and phone number.

The short version

  • We collect what we need to take and deliver your order, issue your invoice and answer your questions.
  • We never see or store your card details. Payments go through Razorpay.
  • We share your data only with the service providers who help us run the shop, and with authorities when the law requires it.
  • We don't sell your personal data.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, withdraw your consent or nominate someone to act for you. Write to [email protected].

What we collect

When you sign in

  • Your e-mail address. If you use a one-time code, we send the code to this address.
  • From Google, if you choose "Sign in with Google": your name and e-mail address, and confirmation that the address is yours. We never see your Google password.
  • We don't use passwords, so we don't hold one for you.

When you place an order, as a guest or signed in

  • Your name, phone number and e-mail address
  • Your delivery address, and your billing address if it is different
  • Your GSTIN, if you give one for a business invoice
  • What you ordered, the amounts, and your order history and invoices

When you pay

Razorpay collects your payment details directly. We receive a payment reference, the payment method (for example UPI or card), the amount and whether the payment succeeded, along with the other payment details Razorpay includes in its notifications to merchants. These never include your full card number.

In your account

  • Addresses you save
  • Products you add to your favourites

When you send us an enquiry

For example, a gifting enquiry: your name and phone number, and anything else you choose to tell us, such as your e-mail address, company, city and the details of your request.

When you contact us

Your messages, and any photos or videos you send us — for example, of a damaged parcel.

When you visit the site

Technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the date and time.

We don't ask for sensitive information such as health details, bank account details or government ID numbers.

Why we use it

  • To take and deliver your order. This includes passing your name, phone number and delivery address to our courier, and contacting you about your order and its delivery.
  • To take payments and make refunds, through Razorpay.
  • To issue GST tax invoices and credit notes, and keep tax records, as Indian tax law requires.
  • To run your account. We use your data to sign you in and to show your orders, invoices, saved addresses and favourites.
  • To answer your enquiries and support requests, and to handle complaints.
  • To keep the site secure, and to prevent fraud and misuse.
  • To meet our legal obligations, and to respond to lawful requests from authorities.

We use your personal data with your consent, or for the specific purpose for which you gave it to us (such as delivering an order you placed), or because the law requires it (such as keeping tax invoices).

We don't send marketing e-mails or messages unless you have agreed to receive them. You can stop them at any time.

How long we keep it

  • Your account: for as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete it, we delete your personal data, except what the law requires us to keep.
  • Orders, invoices and payment records: for as long as Indian tax law requires. For GST records, that is several years.
  • Enquiries and support messages: for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any follow-up, then we delete them.
  • Security logs, which can include your IP address: for at least one year, as Indian data protection rules require, then we delete them.
  • Your cart: it stays in your own browser until you clear it.

How we protect it

  • All traffic to the site is encrypted (HTTPS).
  • Invoices are stored privately. Only you, through your account or the private link we e-mail you, and our own staff can open them.
  • Only the staff who need it can see order details.
  • Sign-in works without passwords, so there are no Devakrut passwords to leak.

If a data breach affects your personal data, we will tell you without delay and report it to the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.

Your rights

You can:

  • Access — ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, how we use it, and who we have shared it with.
  • Correct and update — change your profile and saved addresses in your account at any time, or ask us to correct anything else.
  • Erase — ask us to delete your personal data. We will delete it unless we still need it for your order or the law requires us to keep it (invoices, for example).
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawing doesn't affect what we did before. We may not be able to keep providing some services, such as your account.
  • Nominate — name another person to use these rights for you if you die or become unable to act.

To use any of these rights, e-mail [email protected] from the e-mail address on your account or order, or include your order number. Tell us which right you want to use. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act.

We acknowledge every request within 48 hours and respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer first:

  • Name: Devendra Nagotanekar, Grievance Officer
  • E-mail: [email protected]
  • Phone: +91 95796 11239

We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India. The law asks you to raise the complaint with us first.

Children

devakrut.com is not meant for anyone under 18. Please don't create an account, place an order or send us an enquiry if you are under 18. If we learn that we hold personal data of someone under 18 without a parent's consent, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If a change significantly affects how we use your personal data, we will let you know before it applies.
